Carlos Buby canta em Bauru no Revelando São Paulo em homenagem aos 100 anos da Umbanda
Na sua primeira edição em Bauru, o programa “Revelando São Paulo - Entre Rios e Trilhos” realizado pela Secretaria de Estado da Cultura, dedica parte de sua programação à celebração do centenário da Umbanda. Um dos destaques das atividades comemorativas é o show “Terra de Deus Repentista” do cantor e compositor alagoano Carlos Buby, dirigente espiritual do Templo Guaracy, sábado dia 9 de agosto as 19hs, no sambódromo da cidade.
Com o lançamento do seu novo álbum “Terra de Deus Repentista”, Buby retoma uma carreira musical, iniciada em S. Paulo, nos anos 60, e interrompida por sua trajetória espiritual junto à Umbanda. Na época, venceu o I Festival Inter-colegial da Música Brasileira, com a canção “Onde está Deus que não vê”, que nunca chegou a ser gravada por ter sido censurada pelo regime militar.
Inspirado nos contrastes de nossa cultura, Carlos Buby dedica “Terra de Deus Repentista” à luta contra a intolerância religiosa. Uma das músicas do álbum, “Feiticeiro Negro” é um convite para sair do estado de indiferença no qual o ser humano se encontra diante desses contrastes. O “Feiticeiro Negro” já se tornou um verdadeiro hino contra os preconceitos sofridos pelos praticantes das religiões afro-brasileiras. Produzido pela Abaçaí Cultura e Arte – Organização Social de Cultura, o I Revelando São Paulo - Entre Rios e Trilhos é um Festival de Cultura Tradicional Paulista que reúne as mais diversas manifestações artísticas e culturais da região. Um dos objetivos do evento que dura 4 dias, é a promoção da Cultura de Paz.
